Donations

HALTER has been recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization since November 1987. Donations made to HALTER are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. While HALTER is on the grounds of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind, we do not receive any financial support from them. We depend on people, like you, who want to make a difference. For HALTER, every donation counts! Our expenses continue 365 days a year-coincidently, the same number of days the horses need to eat! We are good stewards of your gifts, constantly working to increase our effectiveness and efficiency.

Be a Halter Helper

Donations can be dropped off any Monday-Friday from 9:30-11:30 AM at HALTER. We occasionally need additional horses. If you have any leads or information about a “sound, well-trained, bomb proof” horse that would complement our program, please call Nancy at (864) 586-1671. Thank you so much for your support!
